Invitation + Dinner Suite
Maestro’s Dinner was an event that took place every winter for donors with Music Director Jaap Van Zweden. I was able to present mood boards to my VP and the Director of Events to supply the inspiration for decor and overall theme. For 2016 we proceeded with an Art Deco style and Neenah’s newly released stipple texture paper. Maestro’s Dinner was always a great opportunity to try out new design ideas because the budget was more flexible and I was given a great deal of freedom to come up with creative direction.
Gala Invite
Full Event Suite
The 2016 Gala creative was inspired by the Meyerson Symphony building’s lines and arches. The previous Gala had been themed with gold and white, so I chose matte black and copper accents to set off the formal tone. Working on the Gala was my creative highlight of each year. I collaborated with multiple departments to ensure every name was spelled correctly and that every piece landed in homes on time. This experience was invaluable to learn how to make an impression and capture attention with design, and also to learn how to manage long lists of donor names with caution and care.

Gala, Concert & After-Party
Public on sale Postcard
The Concert & After-Party is advertised with a different design, as these tickets are for sale for the general public and does not include the seated dinner. The illustrations for this design are hand-drawn ostrich feathers inspired by a feathered pink Chanel jacket. I used this pattern throughout the event’s marketing campaign for external media, which also worked very well for the event lighting and decor. The same Pantone Metallic spot color was used to coordinate with the full invite design.
Christmas Mailer

The holidays are the most lucrative and competitive time of the year for ticket sales. To stand out in the mail, I used the increased budget to gold foil and die-cut a unique mailer to advertise our seasonal concerts. The idea was to create a piece that people would want to keep through the season. Working with our printer, I created a play on the advent calendar concept to make an interactive mail piece.

Mailed Invitation
Every dinner invite required a design theme and branding concept. This design was inspired by the paper texture and clean mid-century typography-based concept. The invite was printed on NEENAH PAPER in Solar White, Techweave Digital texture, paired with Stardream Silver Metallic Envelopes.
